Pacesetter Award

The Pacesetter Award recognizes a Board Director, current or past, who has made an outstanding contribution to Crohn’s and Colitis Canada. Nominations may be submitted by any current or past Board Director or any current or past Chapter President. 

The Pacesetter Award will be presented by the Board of Directors of Crohn's and Colitis Canada at a local event (date to be determined).

Nominations for the 2021 Pacesetter Award are now being accepted.

  • 1 in 140 Canadians lives with Crohn’s or colitis.
  • Families new to Canada are developing these diseases for the first time.
  • Incidence of Crohn’s in Canadian kids under 10 has doubled since 1995.
  • People are most commonly diagnosed before age 30.
