This year for Awareness Month we had an opportunity for a community member to share their story and some knowledge about Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis with TLN!

Meet Alexandra Chaves! Alexandra is a Canadian actor, dancer, student and advocate is best known for her series regular role on five seasons of the CBC/CBBC television series, ‘The Next Step.’

Alexandra was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis in 2018, and after much trial and error, is finally in a place where she feels like she can share her story and educate others about her condition.
