You're not alone: the Halifax area has a vibrant Crohn’s and colitis community, made up of people with inflammatory bowel disease, families, volunteers, and more. Throughout the year, we come together at meetings and events like the Gutsy Walk to share experiences, raise funds and heighten awareness.

There are approximately 2,700 people with Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis in the Halifax area. We understand the challenges you and your family may be facing – because we face them, too.

Regional Guts Impact Tour - Halifax

Regional GUTS (Growing Unstoppable Team Success) is our chance to thank you in person for your dedication to the cause, and your chance to connect with other volunteers, feel inspired to carry on your work, and learn new ways to do it.

This year, our focus is on Impact. That means we’re focusing on the impact you’ve made in your communities and the impact you can continue to have. It also ties into the upcoming Impact of Inflammatory Bowel Disease in Canada Report that Crohn’s and Colitis Canada will release this fall. Learn about some of the report’s key findings and what they mean for the future of IBD in Canada.
