Crohn’s and colitis are much more manageable when we share our experiences with each other. Education events, chapter meetings, and fundraising activities are great opportunities to meet people who are living with IBD, their families and friends, and to learn of local resources and health professionals to support you and your family.

Dr. Deanna Gibson has recently returned from a trip to India where she was conducting research into diet and IBD.
Families new to Canada are developing Crohn's and colitis for the very first time, often within the first generation.  Some immigrant populations, primarily South Asians from countries such as India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka, develop high rates of IBD after coming to Canada.  Dr. Gibson is investigating how dietary changes can affect the gut microbiota. Please join us as she discusses her findings from her recent trip.
